Alex Sutphin, Executive Chef, has spent nearly his entire professional career in the culinary world. With high energy, his desire of hard work, and great palate for food and wine, the hospitality industry was the perfect fit for him. He has a wide variety of experiences ranging from high volume restaurants to fine dining, and from catering and banquette production.
Graduating from Maumee High School in 2007, Alex went on to BGSU to pursue a degree in Business Marketing and Entrepreneurship, in addition to maintaining a full time job within the food service industry. With six years of food service experience already under his belt, he decided to change directions and left Bowling Green to pursue Culinary School full time; always maintaining the hope of owning and operating his own restaurant. With hard work, long hours and dedication, Alex Graduated from Owens Community College in 2011, with a degree in Culinary Arts. He then continued to pursue his lifelong dream and went on in search of expanding his culinary knowledge. Which, in turn, lead him to Ciao Bella.
Alex is proud to be a part of the Ciao Bella family and looks forward to bringing his past experience to the table as well as sharing his love of food.
