Sous Chef

Robert was born and raised in Norwalk, OH where he started working in kitchens at the young age of 16 as a dishwasher, busser and prep cook. He soon realized where his passions lied, and started cooking full time. “I have always had a passion for food… I loved trying different things, new restaurants, new cuisines, new dishes, and exploring what every local restaurant had to offer.” That is when Robert truly started to understand the importance for an emphasis on local, fresh, authentic ‘from scratch’ cooking. With almost 15 years in the industry, Robert has worked in small local bistro's, golf courses, yacht clubs and resorts. He joined the Ciao Bella family in 2018 as a line cook and quickly moved up to his current position as Sous Chef. “I love cooking new cuisines and dishes…expanding my knowledge and experience. When I have time, I still enjoy travelling for food, and cooking for my family and friends.”
