Christian found his passion for cooking while attending the culinary program at Penta Career Center. He started his career as a dishwasher at Bob Evans and shortly after transitioned to a line cook. Christian then made the move to Louisville, Kentucky to attend Sullivan University. After college, Christian moved back to Perrysburg, Ohio and began working for Main Street Company as a Kitchen Supervisor at Zia’s. Shortly after returning, he was promoted to his first executive chef position at the age of 21 at Stillwater in East Lansing. While working at Stillwater, Christian had multiple opportunities to cater the Michigan State Football Team. After 2 years at Stillwater, Christian found his way to our sister restaurant Basil Pizza and Wine Bar. Christian worked at Basil for about 8 months until being promoted to Line Supervisor. He had the opportunity to take part in multiple wine dinners at Basil which furthered his love for cooking. At about a year at Basil he was asked to join the Ciao Bella Team and has been with us for
almost 2 years.
